Send love the dango twitters of things he should eat next! Things, people you know, spammers, whatever! Dango will eat them for you. Fun will be had by all.
Except, you know... the people being eaten. But, otherwise, fun! ^_^
I was watching Spirited Away again and noticed that the little ball the river god gives Sen is called a dango. Would it be similar to a floating dango in any way?
They’re kind of the same family. The differences are what is in them or mixed with them. No one knows what is truly inside of Dango. The one from Spirited Away seems to have something in the center. The outside would be “mochi”, which is pounded rice.
Dango is used a lot to describe pretty much anything small, spherical, edible and made of mostly mochi so they come in all kinds of colors and all sorts of flavors. Dango itself is sort of giant for a dango. He’s more the size of a daifuku. http://japanesefood.about.com/od/japanesedessertsweet/r/daifuku.htm He’s also a little different from the normal dangos you see. Mostly they are little balls on a stick as in this comic here: http://lovethedango.com/?p=132
Dango himself is based off of a dango that a friend gave to me as I was leaving Japan. I don’t know if the plane-ride just didn’t treat them well or not or if it was being in my shoe the whole time (they were in a bag… 9_9; ) that did it (I was trying to keep them from being squished), but when I got back to America they were not very ball-like. Hence dango not being too ball-like, either.
@Cloudmaster Heh heh. ^^; Thanks. ^_^ I probably wouldn’t have gone on a giant explanation about dangos but J.T. is a friend of mine and I knew he wouldn’t mind or find it odd.
Also, explody death! Can’t go wrong with that. ^_^
@CATRsChris
Why, thank you. ^_^
I finally got your twitter page to load today so I followed you back. I don’t usually follow unless I can see that it’s a real person and not spammy stuff and when I tried to look at it from my email it timed out on me or something. … Then I forgot for a while. ^^;
If you’d have called yourself Meteoro I would have figured out who you were earlier! Heya!
Thanks for the extra info on dangos! Really enjoyed knowing about that. I had been wondering where you got that name, didn’t know it was an actual food.
Didn’t know the dogs and people were being eaten by food.
Poor Poor snakie ;___;

This is all very educational. I leave this comic knowing more about dangos, snakes and the irony of certain forms of death. Nice!
